Day 5: whatever, too many blogs too little time to sleep – From Lezhe to Durres, in Albania, I think
All this long distance, hot, bumpy, biking tends to make time run on in an indefinitely long stream of Interweaving threads of consciousness. Wow. No more local spirits for me! Here are a few snippets of yesterday Lots of this on the ride But then we stayed here So that was a bit strange. ManyContinue reading “Day 5: whatever, too many blogs too little time to sleep – From Lezhe to Durres, in Albania, I think”
Day 4: I think, anyway. Bar to Lezhe, Albania.
GH010075.MP4 Yabba dabba do! Only 50 miles and limited hills! Was a bit wet, but no crashie, crashie. GH010077.MP4 Going through this border was a breeze GH010079.MP4 A few obstacles And the Carnival Portion of the Tour continues with the Albanian entry, at least no scary lady ride, as from the Montenegrian a day ago.Continue reading “Day 4: I think, anyway. With the labor shortage in Montenegro, the restaurants have taken to hiring cats as waiters
They don’t often get the order quite right, unless it is fish, which they seem to know well.

Day 2: A Ride to Infamy (or Kotor)
Well, that was a bitch. 70 miles and 4K climbing. That said, Bridger got to spend time at the local, very scary, carnival! Please notice the juxtaposition between the giant, oddly frightening mother figure and the girl on the ticket booth. Such a wondrous place, this Montenegro!
Really it is a grueling grind
Day one was 5;45 hours in the saddle, climbing almost 6,ooo feet, over 70 miles and used 5,290 calories. Day 2 was a little more of every thing. 7,000 feet, 6 hours and burned 5,550 calories. And hey, only 14 more days to go! Look closely at switchbacks below Start point was a hotel onContinue reading “Really it is a grueling grind”
Maps of all the rides! I also have the map on each day, so you can see them there.
These are a bit clearer and can be printed out, not that anyone would want to do that – unless you are planning to ride that particular route. In that case, pick out one that does not have all that dang elevation!
Preride info for us
